What is alabaster lighting?
Alabaster is a soft, fine-grained natural stone that lets light pass through. When lit, the stone glows warmly and reveals its veining. Dalmivik offers alabaster chandeliers, pendants, wall sconces, flush mounts and table lamps, usually paired with brass, black or chrome frames.

Caring for alabaster
Alabaster is softer than marble and reacts to water. Turn off power and dust with a soft dry cloth. Avoid water, sprays and chemical cleaners. Our guide How to Care for Alabaster Lighting explains more.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is alabaster the same as marble?
No. Alabaster is a softer, translucent stone that glows when lit. Marble is harder and usually opaque.
Does alabaster lighting give warm light?
Yes. The stone diffuses light and adds a warm tone. Most Dalmivik fixtures are listed at 2700K warm white, and the product page states any exception.
How do I clean alabaster?
Turn off the power and dust with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use water, sprays or chemical cleaners, which can mark the stone.
Why do alabaster shades look different from the photos?
Alabaster is natural stone, so veining, tone and translucency vary from piece to piece.
