Dalmivik Lighting FAQ
Choosing the Right Fixture
How should I choose chandelier size?
Begin with the room, the furniture below the fixture, and the clear space around it. Compare the product diameter or length with the dining table, island, foyer, seating group, or open ceiling area. Product dimensions and gallery diagrams should guide the final decision; there is no single formula that works for every room.
How should I plan lighting above a dining table or kitchen island?
Consider the length and width of the surface, the number of fixtures, sightlines across the room, and comfortable clearance below the light. For repeated pendants, plan even spacing from the centerline of the table or island. Confirm the final drop and junction-box positions with the installer before electrical work begins.
What should I consider for a foyer, staircase, or high ceiling?
Review the fixture's total height, suspension range, diameter, viewing angles, ceiling structure, and access for installation and future maintenance. Multi-level spaces should be planned from both the upper and lower viewpoints.
Is the hanging height adjustable?
Suspension details vary by product. Use the measurements shown on the selected product page and dimension diagram. If a specific finished height is essential, contact Dalmivik with the model and ceiling height before ordering.
Light, Voltage, and Installation
What color temperature does Dalmivik use?
The controlled Dalmivik catalog standard is 2700K warm light. Follow the individual product page for the stated light source and bulb details.
Are Dalmivik fixtures dimmable?
Yes. Compatible bulbs or drivers, wall controls, and installation conditions are still required. Dimmable does not mean that every fixture works with every dimmer or smart-home control system. Ask a qualified electrician to confirm compatibility.
Which voltage configurations are available?
Dalmivik product pages use 110-120V / 220-240V as the controlled voltage range. A qualified electrician should confirm the correct configuration and local electrical requirements before installation.
Should I hire an electrician?
Yes. Hardwired fixtures should be installed by a qualified electrician using suitable junction boxes and mounting support, in accordance with the product instructions and local electrical code.
Can a fixture be installed on a sloped ceiling, outdoors, or in a bathroom?
Only when the individual product page or supplied documentation expressly confirms that condition. Do not assume that a fixture is suitable for sloped ceilings, damp or wet locations, or outdoor use based on appearance alone.
What should be confirmed before electrical rough-in?
Confirm the exact model, fixture dimensions, junction-box position, ceiling structure, required mounting support, finished suspension height, voltage, circuit, dimmer or driver compatibility, and installation access before wiring and ceiling work are finalized.
Are bulbs included with every fixture?
Bulb inclusion and light-source details vary by product. Follow the selected product page for the stated socket, integrated LED, wattage, and included-component information. Contact Dalmivik with the model when a required detail is not shown.
Materials and Care
Will stone, glass, and metal finishes look exactly like the photographs?
Natural-looking stone and glass surfaces can show variation in veining, translucency, texture, and color. Metal finishes may also read differently under daylight, warm illumination, and different screens. These variations are part of the material character rather than a promise of an identical pattern on every fixture.
What if an exact finish match is important to my project?
Contact Dalmivik before ordering with the model, quantity, room images, and finish requirements. We can review the available product information, but screen color and photography should not be treated as a physical finish sample.
How should I clean a Dalmivik fixture?
Turn off power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth on glass, stone-composite surfaces, and metalwork. Avoid abrasive pads, harsh chemicals, and spraying cleaner directly onto electrical components.
Can I request replacement glass or another component?
Replacement-component availability depends on the exact model and component. Contact Dalmivik with the order number, model, component description, and clear photographs so the request can be reviewed before any disassembly or installation work.
Trade and Project Support
Do you support design and construction projects?
Yes. Interior designers, architects, lighting designers, contractors, builders, and purchasing teams can request product comparison, specification, quantity, and project-quote support.
What information should I send for a project review?
Include the fixture model, quantity, room dimensions, ceiling height, mounting conditions, preferred finish, delivery ZIP code, target installation period, and any relevant drawings or room images. More complete inputs make comparison and quotation more useful.
What should be finalized before I specify or order a fixture?
Finalize the model, size, finish, quantity, voltage and control requirements, mounting conditions, delivery location, target installation period, and the responsible installer. For multi-fixture projects, also confirm spacing, suspension heights, circuit loads, and access for delivery and installation.
Can finishes be coordinated across multiple fixtures?
Contact Dalmivik before placing a multi-fixture order when finish coordination is important. Stone, glass, and metal can show natural or production variation, so screen images should not be treated as a guaranteed physical match.
Can I request product documents?
Available dimensions, material information, electrical details, installation guidance, and related product documentation can be requested for a selected model. Document availability varies by fixture, so contact us before treating a product as specified for a project.
How should I coordinate a multi-fixture installation?
Confirm quantities, finish direction, spacing, suspension height, junction-box positions, dimming controls, circuit loads, installation access, and delivery sequencing before work begins. A qualified project team should review these items together.
Orders, Shipping, and Returns
What does Free Shipping cover?
Free Shipping applies to eligible United States and supported international addresses when the Free Shipping method appears at checkout. If checkout does not display a delivery method for an address, online delivery is not currently available there.
How long does delivery take?
Standard parcel orders have a 3-5 business-day processing time, a 7-15 business-day transit time after carrier pickup, and a total delivery time of 10-20 business days from the order date. A fixture is oversized when any listed fixture dimension is greater than 39 inches (99.1 cm), measured before packaging. Oversized orders have a 5-10 business-day processing time, a 15-20 business-day transit time after carrier pickup, and a total delivery time of 20-30 business days from the order date. Business days are Monday-Friday, excluding U.S. federal holidays.
What should I inspect when the order arrives?
Check the outer cartons, shipping labels, interior packaging, fixture components, finish, glass or stone elements, dimensions, and ordered model before installation. Keep all packaging while the inspection is completed.
How do I report shipping damage?
Contact support@dalmivik.com within 5 calendar days after delivery. Keep all packaging and provide the order number plus photos of the cartons, shipping label, interior packaging, full fixture, and damaged area.
Can I return a light after installation?
No. Standard returns must be unused, uninstalled, unwired, unmodified, complete, and in original packaging. Inspect the fixture before installation.
Who pays return shipping?
For a change-of-mind return, the customer pays return shipping or freight and insurance. Dalmivik provides instructions for an approved damage, defect, or incorrect-item claim.
Can I cancel an order?
Contact us as soon as possible. Cancellation is effective only after written confirmation. Once an item has entered production, been packed, or been handed to a carrier, cancellation may not be possible.
What is the warranty?
Dalmivik lighting fixtures include a 3-year limited warranty for covered manufacturing defects under normal intended indoor use. Review the Warranty and Care page for exclusions and claim instructions.
